As part of 11,000 items being made available online, the unpublished sketchbooks of Henri Gaudier-Brzeska have been made available to view as part of the Tate’s Archives and Access project.

This project draws on the Tate Archive and brings it together online with the Tate’s art collection making it one of the most comprehensive digital art and archival resources in Europe.

The publicly-available items reveal insights into some of the lives and work of some of the most important figures in British art.

This second stage of the project has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, which provided the project with a grant of two million pounds. The digitalisation of the archives relating to an additional 25 artists including L.S. Lowry and Henry Moore is expected to be completed in the Summer this year.
