Shrek the Musical is now heading into its second year of touring and have now just announced the full cast for the show which is currently on its first UK tour.

Coming directly from London, the show has been taking over theatres up and down the country and delighting audiences along the way.

The 2015 cast for the tour will see Dean Chisnall continue in his role of Shrek, the role that he played in the West End. Meanwhile, Bronte Barbe will star as the damsel in distress Princess Fiona, joining Idriss Kargbo as ‘Donkey’ and Gerard Carey as villain Lord Farquaad.

This UK and Ireland tour is directed by Nigel Harman who starred in the West End run as Lord Farquaad, for which he won the 2012 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical.

The tour originally opened at the Grand Theatre in Leeds on the 23rd July 2014 and has visited a number of cities including Glasgow, where the show is currently playing until 17th May 2015.

Shrek will also be visiting places including Liverpool, Cardiff, Wimbledon and Salford.

The production originally opened on Broadway in 2008 and was directed by Jason Moore and Rob Ashford before heading off on tour to nearly 150 cities across the USA and Canada.
