The Design Museum Announces the 2015 Designers in Residence

Now heading for its eighth year, the Design Museum’s annual Designers in Residence programme celebrates the best upcoming designers at the early stage of their career. This year’s selected designers will spend the next four months responding to the theme of ‘migration’, with their final projects forming the exhibition at the museum from September.

The designers taking part in this year’s programme are: Chris Green, Stephanie Hornig, Hefin Jones and Alexa Pollmann.

Chris Green is an architectural designer , whose work brings together new relationships between people, cities and technology.

Stephanie Hornig is a product designer who studied in Milan and Berlin. She produces objects which are inspired by everyday life and the way in which we engage with our surroundings.

Hefin Jones is a London based interdisciplinary designer with a socially focused design practise.

Alexa Pollmann designs scenarios which centre on the human body as well as society. She is fascinated with by the potential of garments to become social reactors and seeks to challenge the current notion of ‘wear’.

The Designers in Residence exhibition will take place at the Design Museum from the 9th September until the 31st March 2016.
