The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has released pictures from the specially commissioned version of the play by Anton Chekov.
Currently performing at the theatre for a limited run until the 11th July, the production stars Janie Dee, Sabrina Bartlett and Matthew Tennyson.

Considered to be one of the most important plays of the 19th century, the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre commissioned this new version by Torben Betts to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Chekov’s original play.
The story is set as guests assemble at a country house for the staging of an open air play. Soon artistic temperaments ignite drama behind the scenes, filled with romantic jealousies, self-doubt and the pursuit of happiness.

The Seagull is directed by Matthew Dunster and will be showing at the Open Air Theatre until the 11th July – so if you are hoping to see it (and why wouldn’t you considering the *whispers*lovely weather we are currently enjoying!) then hurry up and book your tickets now! (that is directed at me as much as you lot reading this!).
