If you are a fan of the Rock N’ Roll musical then this news will delight you (well if you’re based in the UK anyway!) – the Rocky Horror Show is heading off on tour again!!
Since its first appearance at the Royal Court Theatre in 1973, it has delighted and thrilled people all over the world for the last 40 years in 30 different countries.
When it came to the 40th anniversary of the show, Director Christopher Luscombe created a new production – and it is this version that returns due to popular demand.
The show will embark on a year long tour, opening at Brighton’s Theatre Royal on the 14th December 2015. Cast for the show has yet to be announced.
For those (like me) who haven’t seen the show or the film, the musical does feature songs that you may have heard of… ‘The Time-Warp’ and ‘Dammit Janet’ for example.
Telling the story of Brad and girlfriend Janet, both of whom are squeaky clean college students who meet Dr Frank’n’ Furter by chance as their car breaks down outside his house. It soon becomes an adventure that they will never forget filled with fun, frolics and frocks (for that matter).
It is a party that combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and audience participation – which as we all know means getting dressed up in the most outrageous outfit you can find!
Tickets are now on sale for the venues all ready announced, with further dates yet to be confirmed so watch this page: http://rockyhorror.co.uk/tickets-tour-dates for more information.
