New images and a teaser trailer have been released for Close to You , a new musical featuring songs by Burt Bacharach which will make its West End transfer to the Criterion Theatre on the 3rd of October.
Led by musician and performer Kyle Riabko, the show blends nostalgia with innovation to create a production that all generations can revel in.

The show brings together over thirty Bacharach melodies including: The Look of Love, I Say a Little Prayer, I’ll Never Fall in Love Again and Close to You.
Burt Bacharach has lent his support to the show saying: “It’s brilliant. Kyle has done something truly unique with my music. I loved it!”.
The production is newly named Close to You and premiered to critical acclaim, becoming a smash hit at the New York Theatre Workshop as well as becoming the longest running show in the history of the theatre. More recently, the show has enjoyed a successful run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Close to You is directed by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett, who is best known for his movement on shows such as Once, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Black Watch.
The show will include set designs by Christine Jones and Brett Banakis, costume design by Matthew Wright, lighting design by Tim Lutkin and sound design by Richard Brooker. Music is by Burt Bacharach and lyrics are by Hal David among others.
