The first pictures of the new cast of hit musical Sunny Afternoon have been released. Starring Danny Horn (Ray Davies), Oliver Hoare (Dave Davies), Tom Whitelock (Pete Quaife) and Damien Walsh (Mick Avory), the new cast will start performances on the 5th October.

The cast also includes: Jason Baughan, Niamh Bracken, Christopher Brandon, Harriet Bunton, Alice Cardy, Gillian Kirkpatrick, Jay Marsh, Megan Leigh Mason, Ryan O’Donnell, Stephen Pallister, Charlie Tighe and Gabriel Vick.
Featuring music and lyrics by Ray Davies and a book by Joe Penhall, Sunny Afternoon continues to please audiences at the Harold Pinter Theatre as it has done since its West End transfer from the Hampstead Theatre in October 2014.

Telling the story of The Kinks’ rise to fame and featuring hit songs such as Waterloo Sunset, Lola and You Really Got Me, Sunny Afternoon shows the affection still held by audiences for the band’s music more than 50 years on.
Sunny Afternoon won four awards at this year’s Olivier Awards. The production won Best New Musical, John Dagleish won Best Actor in a Musical, George Maguire won Best Supporting Actor in a Musical and Ray Davies won for Outstanding Achievement in Music.
The production is directed by Edward Hall and designed by Miriam Buether. Sunny Afternoon is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, who commissioned Joe Penhall in 2011 to write a book based on Ray Davies original story. The company then went onto developing the production over the next four years, assembling the cast and creative team that has proved successful.
Sunny Afternoon continues to perform at the Harold Pinter Theatre. The show is currently booking until 16th April 2016.
