Production images have been released for the National Youth Theatre production of Charlotte Bronte’s classic novel Wuthering Heights, performing as part of the 2015 REP season at the Ambassadors Theatre.

The production begins previews this Friday (25th September) and has been adapted by Stephanie Street and directed by Emily Lin.

When Heathcliff, a mysterious child is rescued and brought to Wuthering Heights, he develops a bond to Cathy, a friendship which soon develops into the iconic and tragic love story that has endured over generations.

Wuthering Heights opens at the Ambassadors Theatre on the 25th September until the 4th December.

Following previous successful rep seasons in 2013 and 2014, the National Youth Theatre returns to the Ambassadors Theatre. As well as Wuthering Heights, other productions in the season include Consensual and The Merchant of Venice.

Consensual (29th September-2nd December) is a brand new play which explores issues and experiences surrounding sexual consent and young people. It has been written by Evan Placey and is directed by Pia Furtado.

Meanwhile, the National Youth Theatre will also cover The Merchant of Venice(29th September-2nd December) especially abridged for schools by playwright Tom Stoppard.
