The up and coming violinist Yijia Zhang will be launching his debut album at the Royal Overseas League in London on Saturday the 10th October.
His debut disc will feature a collection of classic tango pieces by Astor Piazzolla, the renowned Argentinian composer, some of which will be performed at the launch on Saturday.
Recorded at the London Air studio and released under Eito Music, Tango Embrace will also feature contributions from six other accomplished musicians such as Carl Smith (one of the original Founders of the musical Stomp).
Born and raised in China, the violinist has performed in some of the world’s leading concert halls such as: the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House.
Not content with being just a musician, Zhang is also an entrepreneur and innovator having created a sound sharing social networking app that is tailored to musicians and music lovers. He is also the Director of the Chinese charity concert series ‘Under the Same Sky’, which presents a series of concerts in support of underprivileged youths.
Having started to play the violin when he was five years old, giving his first live performance when he was seven years old it seems that Zhang has a lot to offer the music world in the future.
The album’s post-production was completed by Ray Staff at the London Air Studio, who is best known for his work with a wide variety of artists including Led Zeppelin, Muse and The Rolling Stones.
