Mrs Henderson Presents to Make West End Debut in 2016

It has been announced that the Theatre Royal Bath production of Mrs Henderson Presents will transfer to London’s Noel Coward Theatre from the 9th February 2016 and will perform until the 18th June 2016.

Based on the hit film that starred Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, the story follows Laura Henderson as she looks for a way to fill her time and spend her money. Her attention soon falls on a run-down cinema in Great Windmill street. Hiring feisty impresario Vivian Van Damm to look after the renovated theatre, the duo present a bill of variety of acts.

But as war looms, Laura realises that something else is needed to boost morale and the box office and comes up with the idea of The Windmill Girls: glamorous women posing as nude statues and making audiences flock to the theatre.

The production features a book and direction by the Tony award winning Terry Johnson, lyrics by Don Black and music by George Fenton and Simon Chamberlain.

Cast will include Tracie Bennett (Les Miserables, Coronation Street), Ian Bartholomew (Into the Woods) and Emma Williams (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).

Mrs Henderson Presents is at the Noel Coward Theatre from the 9th February until the 18th June 2016. Tickets are on sale now and can be bought through: Delfont Mackintosh  and Discount Theatre.com
