The casting for the premiere of One of Those at the Tristan Bates Theatre from the 26th January to the 13th February has been announced.
Set on a long and quiet train journey to Cornwall, James and Laura meet for the first time. In the next carriage, Philip and Davina are looking forward to spending some time together – until Philip’s wife turns up.
One of Those is a comedy by Tom Ward-Thomas that challenges the stereotypes of age and background, while exploring the beginning of a relationship in contrast to the changing fortunes of another.
The cast includes Martin Bell (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables), Louise Bangay (Trevor Nunn’s productions of Cyrano de Bergerac at Chichester and Rock ‘n’ Roll at The Royal Court and Duke of York’s), Tom Ward-Thomas, Amy Newton and Emma Kelly.
The production is directed by Amy Ewbank, whose previous credits include The Forbidden at The Canvas and Philip Ridley New Writing Premieres at the Old Red Lion.
One of Those is the debut play of Tom Ward-Thomas, who is also working on two feature films (The Convict, Artist’s Retreat) and a new television sitcom.
One of Those is on at the Tristan Bates Theatre from the 26th January to the 13th February 2016. For more information and to book tickets visit: http://tristanbatestheatre.co.uk/whats-on/one-of-those.
