Currently performing in London’s Harold Pinter Theatre, the multi-award winning production is set to open at the Manchester Opera House on the 19th August.

The musical, directed by Edward Hall, features some of the best known and loved songs released by The Kinks such as ‘You Really Got Me’, ‘Lola’ and ‘Waterloo Sunset’. Based on a book by Joe Penhall and original story by Ray Davies, the musical charts the highs and lows of one of Britain’s most iconic bands.

It has been a huge success on stage since it first premiered at the Hampstead Theatre, before opening in the West End in October 2014. The production won four awards at the 2015 Olivier awards – including Best New Musical and Outstanding Achievement in Music award for Ray Davies.
