2015 has provided plenty of highlights in theatre and as the year ends, there are a few more shows preparing to leave the stage… 

Elf: The Musical, Dominion Theatre starring Kimberley Walsh and Ben Forster, the musical is based on the hit Will Ferrell film and has had mixed reviews. But it has made audiences filled with festive spirit thanks to Ben Forster’s turn as Buddy the Elf. Read the review hereCloses 2nd January. 

Linda, Royal Court TheatrePenelope Skinner’s play has received great reviews  during its run, proving once again the Royal Court’s commitment to providing theatre that challenges audiences and gets them thinking in a different way. Closes 9th January.

Harlequinade/ All on Her Own, Garrick Theatrepart of Kenneth Branagh Theatre company’s season at the Garrick Theatre, this double bill was received well by critics. Both pieces by Terence Rattigan have rarely been performed and so make a welcome return to the West End. Closes 13th January. 

Dr Seuss’s The Lorax, Old Vic Theatreadapted for the stage by David Greig, this children’s show is filled with plenty of songs, puppets and laughs and gained good reviews from the critics when it opened. Closes 16th January. 

Macbeth, Young Vic Theatredespite the mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, the production is agreed to be bold and unique compared with other versions of Shakespeare’s play. Closes 23rd January. 

So if you were planning on seeing any of these shows – you had better hurry!
