With stunning views of Italy as a backdrop, All Roads Lead to Rome sets the scene perfectly for two mismatched lovers played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Raoul Bova, providing a chance to reconnect and discover what went wrong the first time.
Parker returns to romantic comedy after a five year break, to play Maggie a stressed single mother and teacher from New York City. In an attempt to reconnect with her daughter Summer (Rosie Day), she books them a holiday to a Tuscan village which holds fond memories for her.
But the chance for mother-daughter bonding goes astray almost immediately as they meet Maggie’s former lover Luca (Raoul Bova) who is still a bachelor and living with his 80-year old mother (Claudia Cardinale).
With Luca and Maggie occupied with reconciling their past, Summer is desperate to go home and so teams up with Carmen to race to Rome – pursued by Luca and Maggie forcing them to spend time together and come to a understanding…
