Filled with circus tricks, choreographed dance and live music, Watch your Head Productions will present a new production of Shakespeare’s As you Like it, running at Savill Garden from the 22nd June to the 24th July.

Shakespeare’s play tells the story of Rosalind and Orlando who are forced into exile by their families. Together they the venture into the Forest of Arden where they encounter ‘The Golden Age’; a mesmerising travelling circus which has taken up residence beneath the canopy. Masquerading as Ganymede, Rosalind embarks on a journey of love lessons and romantic trickery, before stumbling across one of Duke Senior’s noblemen, Jacques, who fully embraces the circus folk and continually reflects on the futility of life and love as a motley fool.

Celebrating the best of British Summertime, this production of As You Like it will serve up a BBQ during the finale as well as a pop up bar that will emerge through the play constantly.

Following 2015’s success with their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Watch Your Head will deliver their trademark exciting theatrical experience as well as celebrating the 400 year legacy of the work of Shakespeare.

While the cast has yet to be announced, the production will be directed by Sasha McMurray and costumes designed by Annina Pfuel.

As You Like it will appear at Savill Garden from the 22nd June until the 24th July. Tickets cost £35 with concessions at £25.
