The Imperial War Museum will take visitors behind the scenes of some of the most familiar war films to be released in the last 100 years.

Opening on the 30th June, the exhibition will mark the 100th anniversary since the release of the original blockbuster The Battle of the Somme.
Real to Reel will be an immersive exhibition that will allow visitors to explore how film-makers have found inspiration in war’s drama to translate stories of love, loss, hope and courage as well as triumph and tragedy for cinema screens.
The exhibition will contain original items and personal testimonies, costumes, props and set designs all to help to show how films have managed to offer audiences new perspectives of war.
Real to Reel: A Century of War Movies opens at the Imperial War Museum in London on the 30th June and will run until 8th January 2017.
