Just Announced: This is Living to Open at the Trafalgar Studios

Following a critically acclaimed production in Edinburgh in 2014, Liam Borrett’s debut play arrives at London’s Trafalgar Studios from the 17th May to the 11th June.

This is Living is a poignant story of what it really means to say goodbye. Alice and Michael met six years ago, three years ago their daughter Lily was born. Now in a Yorkshire meadow, just past midnight they are having an argument. Alice is cold and tired and Michael won’t stop telling her that she died 12 hours ago.

The production will star Michael Socha (This is England, Being Human) and Tamla Kari (BBC’s The Musketeers, the Inbetweeners Movie), in a show directed by Liam Borrett.

It is a play that deals with themes of loss, grief and heartbreak while presenting an intimate portrait of a relationship forcing us to examine our own lives.

Writer and director Liam Borrett said ” Saying goodbye has always interested me. Whilst it happens at different times to different people, the fact remains that it is an unavoidable part of life.”

This new production of This is Living is a reworked transfer of the original Edinburgh Festival 2014 production, which played at the Bedlam Theatre. It went on to win EntertainmentWise’s Best New Play.

The creative team includes: designs by Sarah Beaton, lighting by Jackie Shemesh and sound by Daffyd Gough.

This is Living will appear at the Trafalgar Studios from the 17th May to the 19th June. To book tickets visit: ATG Tickets
