Currently on a UK tour, Les Enfants Terribles’ The Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie , arrives at the Greenwich Theatre for one performance only on the 25th March.
Following successful runs in Edinburgh and across the country, Les Enfants Terribles brings The Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie to Greenwich Theatre for one performance only at 2pm on the 25th March (tomorrow).
The acclaimed creators of shows such as The Terrible Infants, Alice’s Adventures Underground and The Trench, aim to delight audiences with tall tales, songs and peculiar creatures.
Ever wanted to count a Decapus’s, legs? Or wondered what a Whistling Pank eats? Would you like to catch a glimpse of the fabled ‘Massive Paw’, or lick a Tresillian Toad? Or perhaps see a cow that looks like Brian May? Then you’ve come to the right place! Dr Longitude and his team of “experts” are here to guide you through a puppet-packed, ludicrously lyrical and magically musical tour of the Imaginary Menagerie’s finest exhibits.
Tomorrow’s show will then be followed by a Question and Answer session with Oli Lansley (Artistic Director and Co-Writer), James Seager (Producer), Anthony Spargo (Co-Writer) andSam Wyer (Designer).
Director James Seager comments: “I think the show succeeds in not patronising kids, which is important. It doesn’t talk down to them, and I believe that this is one of the reasons why it has a huge fun appeal and a real joy about it which adult audiences respond to.”
