West End and Broadway actors George Rae and Valerie Cutko, acclaimed for their performances in Grand Hotel at the Southwark Playhouse will reunite for the premiere of The New York- London Rendezvous.
Summer 2016 – every year two friends meet on the same day in their two favourite cities to catch up and go over old times. One year it’s London, the next New York, then London, then New York and so on.
Appearing at the Canal Cafe Theatre on Sunday the 29th May and Sunday 5th June, the production is an evening of cabaret with laughter and tears as well as a celebration of love and friendship, brought to you by George Rae and Valerie Cutko.
George Rae was nominated for Best Male Performance in the Off West End Awards for his role in Grand Hotel. His previous credits include Timon in The Lion King and T.J. in Sister Act.
Valerie Cutko’s previous credits include Mrs Mullin in Carousel at Arcola theatre and Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, directed by Rufus Norris in the West End. She also played Raffaela in the original Broadway run of Grand Hotel.
The show is directed by Jake Murray, with musical direction by Matheson Bayley. It is produced by Music to Your Ear Productions.
