Afoa has already appeared in the Australian production of the musical between 2013-2016, performing more than 860 times during that time. This opportunity will bring him to the London stage for the first time. He will be taking part in performances from the 10th May.

The Lion King is currently in its 17th year in London and has entertained over 13 million visitors since it opened at the Lyceum theatre on the 19th October 1999. It is currently the sixth longest running show in the West End.

At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba – the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.
