With so many great productions heading to London, here is a quick guide to some of the most hotly anticipated musicals ahead in the West End….

The Bodyguard, Dominion Theatrereaching the end of its UK tour, the hugely popular musical is arriving back in London for a limited season at the Dominion Theatre. Beverley Knight stars as Rachel Marron and Ben Richards as Frank Farmer. American Idiot, Arts Theatrefollowing a hugely successful UK tour, this musical based on American rock band Green Day’s hit album is making a return to the London stage for a limited time only. Dreamgirls, Savoy Theatrethis popular Broadway musical, which was made into a film starring Beyonce will arrive in London in November and is certainly one of a number of Broadway transfers to look out for! Amber Riley will star as Effie White in this production directed by Casey Nicholaw. (19th November, currently booking until 11th March 2017)

An American in Paris, Dominion Theatrebased on the Oscar winning film starring Gene Kelly, this Broadway production will make its way to the Dominion Theatre from March 2017. The transfer will star Robert Fairchild and Leanne Cope, fresh from originating their roles in New York, who will be making their West End debuts. (4th March and is currently booking until the 30th September)

 Hamilton, Victoria Palace Theatre: just announced yesterday, following the Broadway production’s 11 Tony award wins it was confirmed that the musical will be transferring to the Victoria Palace Theatre in October 2017. Tickets will be available to buy in November, but people can sign up for priority tickets through the UK website. (October 2017).
