PREVIEW:The Book Club, King’s Head Theatre

Amanda Muggleton to premiere her one-woman show at the King’s Head Theatre from the 11th October to the 5th November.

The Book Club follows a woman at the crossroads of her life. Deb just can’t help but feel that something is missing in her life. her kids have left home and her husband is obsessed with sports. But Deb is dreaming of receiving love letters, yet ends up being pushed to join a book club by her friend Trish.

This production of the one woman show written by Roger Hall is directed by Nadia Tass whose previous credits includes her 1986 debut film, Malcolm,  starring Colin Friels and John Hargreaves.

The creative team also includes set and costume designs by Shaun Gurton.

Amanda Muggleton is best known for her starring role as Chrissie Latham in the cult 1970s TV show Prisoner Cell Block H.
