Casting for the West End transfer of This House, which opens for previews at the Garrick Theatre from the 19th November, has been announced.
Jeremy Herrin’s production of James Graham’s political drama transfers to the West End following its upcoming run at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre.
This production will see Phil Daniels, Kevin Doyle, David Hounslow, Ed Hughes, Lauren O’Neil, Nathaniel Parker, Steffan Rhodri, Malcolm Sinclair and Sarah Woodward lead the cast which also includes Christopher Godwin, Peter Landi, Matthew Pigeon, Giles Taylor, Tony Turner and Orlando Wells.
This House originally played two sold-out seasons at the National Theatre directed by Headlong Artistic Director Jeremy Herrin.
Set in 1974, This House sees the UK facing an economic crisis and a hung parliament. This is a period when votes are lost or won by one, fist fights in bars and a huge number of politicians die. The play strips back the reality of these scenes, when the whips have to try and coerce a diverse chorus of MPs within the Mother of all Parliaments.
The creative team for the production includes designs by Rae Smith, lighting by Paule Constable, choreography by Scott Ambler, music by Stephen Warbeck and sound by Ian Dickinson.
This House will run at the Garrick Theatre from the 19th November until the 25th February 2017. To book tickets visit: Ticketmaster.co.uk, Discount Theatre.com, Last Minute.com, Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk, Love Theatre.com, Theatre People.com and UK Tickets.co.uk.
