Sean Campion, Matthew Lewis, Niamh Cusack and Ruta Gedmintas to star in London premiere of Owen McCafferty’s comic play at the Found111 from the 25th August until the 8th October.
Following the successful productions of Bug and Dazzle at Found111, Emily Dobbs Productions has confirmed the London premiere of Owen McCafferty’s darkly comic new play.
Directed by Adam Penford, the production will star Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter), Niamh Cusack (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time), Ruta Gedmintas (The Strain, The Tudors) and Sean Campion (The Borgias, Stones in his Pockets).
Examining what it means to be lovers, partners and people, Unfaithful sees Tom enjoying a quiet pint after work, while Tara lies awake while her boyfriend finishes his shift. But when their paths cross , a chain of events start revealing a chain of desires and regrets of two relationships on the brink.
Owen McCafferty is an award winning playwright. His recent play, Quietly, will receive its US premiere in New York in July 2016. It was first produced at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin in 2012 as part of their Great Irish Writers Season. His other credits include Death of a Comedian, which was shown in Dublin, Belfast and London.
Director Adam Penford’s previous stage credits include: Revival Director on One Man Two Guvnors (West End, Broadway, UK and International Tour), Watership Down (Watermill Theatre), Deathtrap (Salisbury Playhouse) and Ghost the Musical (ETF).
