Adam Spreadbury-Maher and Greg Esplin’s production of Irvine Welsh’s story will transfer to The Vaults in November, it has been confirmed.

Following two successful runs at the King’s Head Theatre and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Irvine Welsh and Danny Boyle’s iconic film, this immersive production will play at The Vaults from the 3rd November 2016 until the 15th January 2017.

Coinciding with the sequel to the film, T2, released in 2017, this strictly limited season is a chance for audiences to experience the story live and appreciate it in a different way.

Set against a dynamic soundscape of 1980’s music, Trainspotting tells the story of four friends living through the Edinburgh heroin scene, brought to life through humour, poetry and provocatively graphic scenes.

A special performance space is being designed specifically for the production with a capacity of just 200 split between immersive general admission where audience members will be seated all around the space amidst the action, and a limited number of traditional theatre seats.

The cast will include: Rachael Anderson, Chris Dennis, Calum Barbour, Greg Esplin, Michael Lockerbie, Erin Marshall and Gavin Ross.

Trainspotting will run at The Vaults from the 3rd November until the 15th January 2017. For more information and to book tickets visit: http://www.trainspottinglive.com/
