NEWS: Joannah Tincey’s Production of Pride & Prejudice to Tour UK

Following sold-out performances in 2014, Joannah Tincey’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel Pride & Prejudice is set to tour the UK once again, arriving at Greenwich Theatre on the 20th to the 22nd October.

This adaptation brings the beloved novel to life with a cast of two playing all of the characters. Using nothing but Austen’s original text and their own ingenuity, the actors provide a refreshing take on the original story as well as the characters.

Joannah Tincey said: “I wanted to create an adaptation where the characters talk to the audience in the same way that Austen talks to her readers. By addressing the audience directly and allowing the characters to speak for themselves, we are bringing Jane Austen’s unique and witty writing style to life in a truly theatrical context.”

Fun and romantic, this unique production is a must-see production for Jane Austen fans.

Pride and Prejudice is directed by Abigail Anderson, designed by Dora Schweitzer and lighting by Simon Wilkinson. It will be performed by Joannah Tincey and Nick Underwood.

Pride and Prejudice will head off on tour from the 6th October until the 25th November. For more information on venues and to book tickets visit: http://richarddarbourne.com/projects/pride-and-prejudice/
