Running at the venue from the 21st September until the 15th October, this real life story of cave explorer Floyd Collins is brought vividly to life in a new production directed by Jonathan Butterell.

Featuring a book by Tina Landau and music and lyrics by Adam Guettel, the musical is set in 1925 in Kentucky, where fearless cave explorer Floyd Collins dreams of finding fame and fortune underground. But when he becomes trapped in one of the caves he is exploring, it is a desperate race against time as his friends and family battle to rescue him and keep his spirits high.

It is a touching tale of family and survival that is perfectly matched by a beautiful score, taking audiences on a journey of endurance and hope.

Casting for the production has yet to be confirmed.

The musical originally opened Off-Broadway in 1996, going on to win the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical, and the 1995-1996 Obie Award for its score.

Floyd Collins will run at Wilton’s Music Hall from the 21st September until the 15th October. For more information and to book tickets visit: https://wiltons.org.uk/whatson/202-floyd-collinsthe-musical
