Frantic Assembly’s production for Andrew Bovell’s Things I Know to Be True will have its UK premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith from the 10th September until the 1st October.

This co-production between Frantic Assembly and State Theatre Company of South Australia will also be visiting Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool, Salford and Chichester.
Things I Know to be True is a new commission from Andrew Bovell and comes to the UK following its world premiere at Adelaide Festival Centre in May 2016. This UK recreated version is co-directed by Frantic Assembly’s Artistic Director Scott Graham and State Theatre Company’s Artistic Director Geordie Brookman.

The UK premiere will feature a UK cast which includes: Matthew Barker (Mark Price), Natalie Casey (Pip Price),Richard Mylan (Ben Price), Kirsty Oswald (Rosie Price), Ewan Stewart (Bob Price) and Imogen Stubbs (Fran Price).
Andrew Bovell’s play is an examination of the mechanics of a family that is at times brutally frank, telling the story of one family as seen through the eyes of four grown up siblings who struggle to define themselves away from their parents’ love and expectations.

Andrew Bovell is considered to be one of Australia’s leading storytellers. His previous works such as When The Rain Stops Falling, Speaking In Tongues and an adaptation of Kate Grenville’s The Secret River have been critically acclaimed.
The production will feature set and lighting design by Geoff Cobham, costume designs by Alisa Paterson and sound design by Andrew Howard.
As well as the Hammersmith Lyric, the production will be visiting: Oxford Playhouse (4th-8th October), Warwick Arts Centre (11th-22nd October), Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse (2n-5th November), The Lowry (8th-12th November) and Chichester Festival Theatre (15th-26th November).
