The cast and creative team for the musical,which will run at Wilton’s Music Hall from the 21st September,has been confirmed.
Based on the true story of the cave explorer Floyd collins, Tina Landau and Adam Guettel’s musical is brought to the stage once again in a new production directed by Jonathan Butterell.
Set in Kentucky in 1952, the musical follows the story of Floyd Collins who dreams of finding fame and fortune hidden deep underground. But when he becomes trapped, it is a race against time for his friends and family to rescue him as he tries to keep his spirits up.
The cast for this production is set to include Ashley Robinson, Rebecca Trehearn, Jack Chissick , Sarah Ingram, Ian Burfield, Craig Pinder, Marc Akinfolarin, Sam Thomas, Francesco Lo Giudice, Daniel Booroff ,Joel Elferink, Christopher Jordan-Marshall and Alex Spinney.
The award winning musical is produced by Amanda Holland, feature set and costume designs by Lee Newby, lighting design by Rick Fisher and sound design by Tony Gayle.
