NEWS: Harry Enfield to Make Theatre Debut in Once in a Lifetime at Young Vic

The Young Vic Theatre has today confirmed casting for Once in a Lifetime and Trade – as well as the first two productions set for the stage in 2017.

It was confirmed that actor and comedian Harry Enfield will make his theatrical debut in Richard Jones’ production of Once in a Lifetime, playing Hollywood studio boss Glogauer which will run at the Young Vic Theatre from the 25th November until the 14th January 2017.

Also starring in Christopher Hart’s adaptation of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s comedy will be John Marquez as George and Claudie Blakley as May, with further casting still to be announced.

Meanwhile in other casting news, casting for Bryony Shanahan’s production of Trade (16th-26th November) has also been confirmed. Ayesha Antoine, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Jo Martin will also star in this new production of Debbie Tucker Green’s play, unraveling the lives and lies of three very different women. 

In other news confirmed by the Young Vic today, it was announced that Joe Hill-Gibbins will direct a production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, playing at the theatre from the 17th February until the 1st April 2017. Casting for the production has yet to be announced.

The other production announced for 2017, will be See Me Now,  a show created by Mimi Poskitt, Molly Taylor which explores the painful and touching stories of sex workers – created and starring sex workers. The show will run at the theatre from the 11th February until the 4th March 2017.
