NEWS: Full Cast for London Production of 42nd Street Confirmed

The production, which opens for previews at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on the 20th March, has confirmed its full cast.

The production will mark the West End debut of Grammy Award-winning Sheena Easton, playing the role of Dorothy Brock.

Joining her in the cast of 50 will be: Tom Lister as Julian Marsh, Clare Halse as Peggy Sawyer, Jasna Ivir as Maggie Jones, Norman Bowman as Pat Denning, Stuart Neal as Billy Lawlor, Graeme Henderson as Andy Lee, Christopher Howell as Bert Barry, Bruce Montague as Abner Dillon, Mark McKerracher as Mac/Doc/Thug and Emma Caffrey as Annie.

42nd Street will be directed by the show’s co-author Mark Bramble, who also directed the most recent Broadway revival.

The musical is a song and dance tale that includes songs such as “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” “Dames,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” and of course “42nd Street.”

42nd Street tells the story of a starry-eyed young dancer named Peggy Sawyer who leaves her Allentown home and comes to New York to audition for the new Broadway musical Pretty Lady. When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes over and becomes a star.

The production features choreography by Randy Skinner and music & lyrics by Harry Warren and Al Dubin.
