Not seen in the UK since 2011, Flashdance: The Musical will embark on a new UK tour in 2017 opening in Glasgow at the King’s Theatre in August 2017.  

Featuring all of the hits from the iconic 1980’s film such as ‘I Love Rock & Roll’, ‘Maniac’ and of course ‘Flashdance-What a Feeling’, the musical is all about the power of holding onto your dreams and love against all odds.

The story follows 18 year old Alex, a welder by day and ‘flashdancer’ by night, who dreams of going to the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy and becoming a professional dancer.  When a romance complicates her ambitions, she harnesses it to drive her dream.

The musical is produced by the award winning team at Selladoor Productions – producers of Footloose, Avenue Q and Little Shop of Horrors – and Runaway Entertainment – producers of In The Heights, Guys and Dolls and Lazarus.
