Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s best-selling novel directed by Robin Herford will have a new cast from the 29th November.

Having celebrated its 27th anniversary in the West End earlier this year, Robin Herford’s production of Susan Hill’s terrifying story is set to scare audiences in the West End for longer as a new cast is confirmed.
From the 29th November, Stuart Fox (Woman in Mind, Vaudeville; The Normal Heart, Royal Court and Albery; Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fortune Theatre) and Joseph Chance (Jeeves & Wooster, UK and Far East Tour; Wallander) will star in the production.
A lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black, engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.
As well as being directed by Robin Herford, the production also features designs by Michael Holt, lighting by Kevin Sleep and sound by Gareth Owen.
