Playing at the Royal Court Theatre from the 28th February, casting for Debbie Tucker Green’s production has been confirmed.
It has been confirmed that Gary Beadle, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Lashana Lynch, Shvorne Marks and Meera Syal will be starring in a profoundly affectionate, passionate devotion to someone (-noun) written and directed by Debbie Tucker Green.

Debbie Tucker Green returns to the Royal Court following hang, which ran at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs in 2015. Her other credits include Nut (National); Generations (Young Vic); Trade (RSC/RSC at Soho); Born Bad (Hampstead); Dirty Butterfly (Soho).
The production will also feature set design by Merle Hensel, lighting design by Lee Curran, sound design by Christopher Shutt and movement by Vicki Manderson.
Gary Beadle has previously appeared at the Royal Court in productions such as Sucker Punch and God’s Second In Command. His other stage credits includes: Now We Are Here (Young Vic); Les Blancs, Black Poppies (National) and Hapgood (Hampstead).
Meera Syal was last seen on stage in Kenneth Branagh’s Garrick Theatre season of plays in Romeo and Juliet. Her other credits includes Much Ado About Nothing (RSC), Shirley Valentine (Menier/Trafalgar Studios) and My Girl ( Theatre Royal Stratford East).
Lashana Lynch’s stage credits includes performances in Educating Rita (Chichester Festival); Dog Days (503); Roadkill (Pachamama); Romeo & Juliet (National) and Slave (Lowry).
Gershwyn Eustache Jnr’s credits include The Royale (Bush); The Comedy of Errors, Macbeth on Film (Globe); Home, nut (National); Romeo & Juliet (Custom Practice/UK tour).
