Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer and Tony award winning musical is heading off on tour, following a christmas season at London’s St James Theatre and has recently been nominated for Best Regional Production at the 17th Annual What’s On Stage Awards.

Inspired by Puccini’s classic opera La Bohème, RENT follows the story of a group of impoverished young artists struggling to live in New York City’s East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian excess.

The score features the much loved songs such as Seasons of Love, Take Me or Leave Me and La Vie Bohème.

This new production features in its cast Layton Williams (Bad Education, Billy Elliot the Musical, Hairspray)  and Lucie Jones who was recently selected to represent the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The cast also includes Billy Cullum, Ross Hunter, Rayn O’Gorman, Javar La’trial, Philippa Stefani ,Shanay Holmes, Jenny O’Leary, Katie Bradley, Joshua Dever, Kevin Yates, Bobbie Little, Christina Modestou, Jordan Laviniere, Harrison Clark and Oliver Bingham.

As well as running on Broadway for twelve years, RENT premiered in London’s West End in 1998 at the Shaftesbury Theatre, where it ran for 18 months. It was then later adapted into a film in 2005.

RENT will play at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking from the 7th to the 11th March. For more information and to book tickets visit ATG Tickets
