The Telegraph: **** “John Tiffany’s production (originally seen on Broadway in 2013, briefly last summer in Edinburgh, now at the grand old Duke of York’s for two months or so) casts a greater, more shiver-making spell than most.”

WhatsOnStage: **** “Tiffany sews The Glass Menagerie tightly into its historical context with illuminating results.”

Radio Times: ***** “In many ways the real star of the night is Kate O’Flynn who plays Laura with astonishing beauty and tenderness.”

Time Out: ***** “other productions of ‘The Glass Menagerie’ tend to be sour or cynical, but for all its (literal) darkness, Tiffany’s absolutely isn’t. It is a vision of love, guttering in the void; a strange dream of America, falling through the night.”

London Theatre.co.uk: ***** “It’s a production that’s as clear and delicate as glass itself.”

Broadway World: **** “the skill of Tiffany’s production is the way it closes the human gap between us and them, making it an almost unbearably intimate exchange.”

Theatre Weekly: ***** “John Tiffany has achieved some kind of sublime alchemy, because this is one of the most delicately beautiful productions to hit the West End in a long time.”

London Theatre1: **** “a sad, original production of a classic with fine performances and a conspicuous absence of mawkishness – but with plenty of humor along the way as well. A very worthwhile revival indeed.”

London Box Office: ***** “This is life enhancing theatre. Pure class!”

British Theatre Guide: “This unforgettable and deeply touching evening presents a moving tale in beautifully understated fashion, much to the credit of a first class acting quartet, every one on top form, in what should be the first big West End hit of 2017.”

Talk Stagey to Me: “As ennui is faultlessly contorted into enrapture it becomes abundantly clear that this show is nothing short of wondrous. In every sense.”

The Arts Desk: “fine and authoritative production.”

The Upcoming: **** “Tiffany’s The Glass Menagerie is simply a classy run-out for a classic slice of the American canon, an excuse for four fabulous actors to dust-off the delicate world of Williams’s semi-autobiographical memories.”

Exeunt Magazine: “John Tiffany’s luminous production.”

The Times: **** “It’s in the awkward, latterly tender encounter between Laura and her gentleman caller that this production goes from good to great.”

Evening Standard: **** “Cherry Jones, one of the most revered stars of American theatre, makes an overdue and spellbinding West End debut in this finely balanced revival of Tennessee Williams’s breakthrough play.”

There Ought to Be Clowns: “The Glass Menagerie has always been a great play and here, it receives the kind of production that will convince a whole new generation exactly why that is.”

The Glass Menagerie will play at the Duke of York’s Theatre until the 29th April 2017. To book tickets visit: Ticketmaster.co.uk, ATG Tickets, Discount Theatre.com, Love Theatre.com, Theatre People.com and UK Tickets.co.uk
