The UK tour of these collection of short Chekov plays follows on from successful Ireland, Germany and Greece tours.

Playing 40 dates until the 8th April, Chekov Shorts is an enlightening introduction to one of the most underperformed writers who is best known for his plays such as The Seagull, The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters and Uncle Vanya.

This production of the comic short plays is directed by John O’Connor who said: “These plays represent an important moment in the development of Chekhov as a writer. They combine all the tragic-comic beauty of the longer plays with the silliness of a sketch show. This is Chekhov at his comic best, before Uncle Vanya started shooting, The Seagull got stuffed, The Three Sisters started moaning and The Cherry Orchard was ‘car-parked’.’

Chekov Shorts stars former RSC actor Rupert Mason (A Touch of Frost, Eastenders), actor-comedian Will Hartley (Otherworld, The One Griff Rhys Jones) and  newcomer Eva Savage.

Chekov Shorts will tour the UK until the 8th April. For more information and to book tickets visit:http://www.europeanarts.co.uk/
