The multi-award winning composer will discuss his life and career in the West End, on Broadway and Hollywood movies as well as the premiere of Blondel in a special evening at the Union Theatre on the 25th June.
To mark the premiere of Blondel at the Union Theatre from the 21st June, Sir Tim Rice will take part in a special evening to talk about his life and career.
Talking about the news Tim Rice said: “I’m delighted to be appearing – for one night only – at the wonderful Union Theatre. It is one of the great cultural venues of London, and frequently shows theatres three times the size how to put on a show. I’ve chosen half a dozen or so of my favourite songs to be performed live. I’m hoping for a lot of audience participation – in the Q & A anyway – and they can expect some lively chat about famous hits, infamous flops and the present state of the business. There’s a lot going on out there – good, bad and ugly – but it’s undeniably an exciting time for musical theatre.”
Sir Tim Rice is an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Tony Award, and Grammy Award-winning lyricist. He is best known for his collaborations with Andrew Lloyd Webber with whom he helped to create Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Evita.
