Childhood friends, Jen and Robbie, are all grown-up now and galaxies away from where they imagined they would be. With their world-views set on a collision course, and their dreams imploding, Jess Moore’s debut play – Gin for Breakfast – explores whether or not they can save themselves, and each other. And, when everything’s just star-stuff, does it matter?

Presented by Whatever Guise Productions and directed by Ryan Gage, Gin for Breakfast is the debut play from Jess Moore and will run for a limited season from the 26th September.

The production sees actor Ryan Gage (The Musketeers, The Hobbit films) making his directorial debut. Meanwhile, the creative team for Gin for Breakfast will include designs by Emmy-nominated Erica Hemminger.

Jess Moore studied ‘Advances in Scriptwriting’ led by Stephen Jeffreys at RADA, and the Academy recently commissioned a short film version of her play, Bitter Lemon.

Whatever Guise Productions is a new production company founded by Jessica Guise in 2016 to produce work that confronts psychological issues, bringing subjects to the stage that we are still not sufficiently open about in our society.

Gin for Breakfast will be partnering with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) on after-show talks and events around mental health.

Gin for Breakfast will play at the Tristan Bates Theatre from the 26th September until 21st October. For more information and to book tickets visit: https://www.tristanbatestheatre.co.uk/whats-on/gin-for-breakfast
