NEWS: Robert Plant to Play at the Royal Albert Hall for One-Off Show

It has been announced that the singer will return to the Royal Albert Hall for one show only on the 8th December.

Returning to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time in four years, the rock singer will be performing some of his greatest hits as well as music from his upcoming album Carry Fire (released 13 October) with his band The Sensational Space Shifters.

This one-off show will also feature special guest Seth Lakeman, who features on three tracks of Plant’s latest release will join the former Led Zeppelin vocalist, playing viola and fiddle.

Talking about the news Lucy Noble, Artistic Director at the Royal Albert Hall, said: “Robert Plant is a bona-fide rock legend, and we’re thrilled that he’s chosen the Hall for his only London date. Fans will get the chance to bask in great music both old and new – including tracks from his sensational new record.”

Carry Fire is the singer’s 11th solo album and it is his first full length release since 2014’s acclaimed ‘lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar’.

Robert Plant has previously appeared at the Royal Albert Hall seven times debuting with Led Zeppelin on 29 June 1969, and last headlining as part of Bluesfest in October 2013.

The Royal Albert Hall show is part of a 15 date UK tour for the singer.
