The London Theatre will present the world premiere of Max Lopert’s political satire, running at the theatre from the 19th September.

A satirical expose of current political issues with conversations and interactions among Trump family members and associates. Plus a simulated jury trial brought against Donald Trump for crimes committed while in office using real US trial lawyers. These crimes focus primarily on the illegal acceptance of money in exchange for political favors as well as the crime of obstruction of justice.

Max Lopert’s highly provocative show exposes what one imagines has occurred “behind closed doors” during combustible interactions between Trump, his family members, and associates, followed by a semi-improvised trial, where writer Max Lopert and Trump performer Matthew Shelton debate Trump’s actions in office.

Running for six nights in London only, the American playwright is also directing this production. Lopert is a former successful trial lawyer with experience as a Special Attorney in the US Attorney’s Office in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, the part of Trump will be played by US actor/director Matthew Shelton. He is the artistic director of Shelton Theater, concentrating on method acting, where he teaches acting, directs plays and short films, and occasionally acts in independent films.

The People VS. Donald Trump will play at The London Theatre from the 19th to the 24th September. For more information visit: http://www.thelondontheatre.com/
