A brand new trailer and poster have been released for the upcoming film 6 Below, starring Josh Hartnett, ahead of the film’s release on the 13th October.
Directed by Scott Waugh, 6 Below is a fight for survival as well as a test of human endurance when a recreational trip in the mountains goes wrong.
Eric LeMarque (Josh Hartnett; TV’s Penny Dreadful, Lucky Number Slevin) is a thrill-seeking snowboarder with a weight of personal demons on his back. When he gets lost in a massive winter storm in the back country of the High Sierra Mountains, LeMarque is pushed to the limit and forced to battle those demons head-on as he fights against the worst the elements can throw at him.
As well as Josh Hartnett, the film also stars Sarah Dumont (Don Jon, TV’s The Royals) and Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino (Summer Of Sam, Mighty Aphrodite) as LeMarque’s equally determined mother.
The film is based on the 2004 true story of former Olympian Eric LeMarque’s eight-day survival in subzero temperatures.
6 Below is released in cinemas on the 13th October.
