Full casting has been confirmed for Michael Grandage’s upcoming production, playing at the Noel Coward Theatre from the 23rd June.
Joining the previously announced Aidan Turner (Padraic) in this West End production of Martin McDonagh’s play will be Denis Conway (as Donny), Will Irvine (as Christy), Brian Martin (as James), Daryl McCormack (as Brendan) Julian Moore-Cook (as Joey), Charlie Murphy (as Mairead), and Chris Walley (as Davey).
Who knocked Mad Padraic’s cat over on a lonely road on the island of Inishmore and was it an accident? He’ll want to know when he gets back from a stint of torture and chip-shop bombing in Northern Ireland: he loves that cat more than life itself.
The production sees Aidan Turner making his West End debut, having previously appeared on the London stage in Sean O’Casey’s The Plough and the Stars at the Barbican in 2005. He is best known for his roles in Poldark and The Hobbit film trilogy.
Meanwhile, The Lieutenant of Inishmore will feature set and costume designs by Christopher Oram, lighting by Neil Austin, and sound and music by Adam Cork.
The Lieutenant of Inishmore will play at the Noel Coward Theatre from the 23rd June until the 8th September 2018. To book tickets click here or visit Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk and Encore Tickets.
