The hit London production will now book at the Apollo Victoria until May 2019.

Currently the 7th longest running show in the West End, it has been announced that Wicked will now extend its London run until 2019, booking until the 24th May.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel Wicked:  The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, the London production opened for previews in November 2006 and still remains one of the most popular musicals in the West End.

Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths.

The musical features memorable songs including ‘For Good’, ‘Popular’ and of course ‘Defying Gravity’ by Stephen Schwartz. It has been adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman and is directed by Joe Mantello.

Currently, the London cast includes: Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie & Maria Coyne (standby for Glinda).

Wicked continues to play at the Apollo Victoria Theatre until the 24th May 2019. To book tickets click here or visit: Ticketmaster.co.uk, See Tickets.comTheatre Tickets Direct.co.uk, Encore Tickets, Last Minute.com, ATG Tickets or Love Theatre.com
