Kensington Palace, 1993. She was the Diana of her day. That day has gone, but HRH The Princess Margaret seeks one final chance to be of service.

Acquiring potentially sensational letters from Charles and Diana, she means to burn the evidence. But there are other papers, relating to Margaret herself. And when an ex-gangster admirer returns from her past, the Queen’s sister has the choice to make or break her family yet again.

Felicity Dean stars as HRH Princess Margaret and will appear alongside  Alexander Knox as Tristan Peel (It Is Easy To Be Dead), the play’s author Richard Stirling as the Queen Mother’s butler William Tallon (aka ‘Backstairs Billy’), and Patrick Toomey (RSC) as  John Bindon.

Richard Stirling’s play is directed by Jonny Kelly and is inspired by true events and to reveal how compelling Princess Margaret’s  story still is.

The production will also feature set designs by Norman Coates, costume design by Boo Williams and sound by Gareth McLeod.

Talking about being part of the production Felicity Dean said: “I’ve played Elizabeth I on television as a redhead, and Pamela Churchill Harriman (in Swimming at the Ritz) on stage as a blonde, but this is my first grande dame as a brunette. With ciggies and whisky. And five strands of pearls. And a lot of gravitas!”

A Princess Undone will play at the Park Theatre from the 20th February until the 17th March. For more information and to book tickets visit: https://www.parktheatre.co.uk/whats-on/a-princess-undone
