Jacqueline Wilson and Joanna Trollope have been confirmed as Authors of the Day as part of this year’s London Book Fair, taking place at the Olympia in London from the 10th to the 12th April.
The two best-selling authors will take part in the London Book Fair to be spotlighted as part of the Author of the Day programme. It was also announced that David Baldacci will also join the fair as a special guest.
Both announcements complete the programme for this year’s fair which also includes Mihkel Mutt (Estonia), Nora Ikstena (Latvia) and Kristina Sabaliauskaitė (Lithuania) who will represent The Baltics as Market Focus Authors of the Day.
As part of the annual fair, the Author of the Day programme brings some of the best known and loved writers working today to the world’s creative capital, showcasing their work and celebrating their achievements.

First introduced to the book fair in 2006, the Author of the Day is considered to be a key element of the fair, with previous participants including: Boris Akunin, Malorie Blackman OBE, William Boyd, Anthony Browne, Julia Donaldson, Bi Feiyu, Sun-mi Hwang, Peter James, Elif Shafak, Valeria Luiselli, Deborah Moggach, Neil Gaiman, Patrick Ness, David Nicholls, Liz Pichon, Sir Terry Prachett, Axel Scheffler, Michael Morpurgo and Claire Tomalin.
