Playing at the Jermyn Street Theatre from the 10th April, Tonight at 8.30 is being presented as part of the theatre’s The Reaction Season.

Tonight at 8.30 is formed of nine one-act plays ranging from music-hall pastiche, to light comedies, to heartbreaking drama, organised into three trios entitled Secret Hearts, Nuclear Families, and Bedroom Farces, with the chance to see all three trios in a single day on Saturdays and Sundays.

Directed by Tom Littler, Tonight at 8.30 is set to star Sara Crowe (her West End roles include Sybil in Private Lives, Calendar Girls), Ian Hallard,  Nick Waring (Queen of the Desert with Nicole Kidman), Miranda Foster (Gertrude, Hamlet, Shakespeare’s Globe), and Olivier Award nominee Rosemary Ashe. Musical direction and piano is provided by Coward specialist Stefan Benardzcyk, who also plays a number of roles. Jeremy Rose, Boadicea Ricketts and Ben Wiggins complete the cast.

The production will feature set design by Louie Whitemore, costume designs  by Emily Stuart, choreography by Gabriella Bird, lighting by Tim Mascall, and sound by Tom Attwood.

Talking about the production, Tom Littler said: “This is the most ambitious season in our 24-year history, and I am incredibly grateful to all of the people who have helped to set it up. I am very excited to be directing the whole of Noël Coward’s Tonight at 8.30 – in our intimate studio space, I think these plays can be revealed as works of extraordinary insight, wit, and emotional impact. Although each trio stands alone, I hope people will come to experience the full breadth of this remarkable cycle, which I count as Coward’s finest achievement.”

Tonight at 8.30 will play at the Jermyn Street Theatre from the 10th April until the 20th May. For more information and to book tickets visit: http://www.jermynstreettheatre.co.uk/show/tonight-8-30/
