Take That, co-producers of new musical The Band, joined the cast of the show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket to perform on the roof of the theatre to launch the musical’s West End season.

To launch the new musical’s West End run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from the 1st December 2018 to 12 January 2019, the band joined the cast of the musical to perform on the roof of the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

Tim Firth’s musical features the music of Take That and has proved popular with critics and audiences alike since it began touring in September 2017.

It’s 1992 and we meet five 16 year old girls for who ‘the band’ is everything.  Join us on this emotional rollercoaster as this group of girls who were once inseparable reunite after 25 years apart and try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting the boyband whose music became the soundtrack to their lives.

The production stars Rachel Lumberg,Alison Fitzjohn, Emily Joyce, Jayne McKenna,AJ Bentley,Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qaffouri and Sario Solomon, winners of BBC’S Let it Shine as The Band, Faye Christall,Katy Clayton,Rachelle Diedericks, Sarah Kate Howarth, Lauren Jacobs, Martin Miller and Andy Williams.

Talking about the news David Pugh said of the West End transfer, “Our co-producers, Gary, Howard, Mark and Robbie, are totally chuffed that London’s glittering West End will see this award-winning production at the historic Theatre Royal Haymarket this Christmas season.”

The musical is directed by Kim Gavin and Jack Ryder, designed by Jon Bausor and choreographed by Kim Gavin, with lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, video design by Luke Halls and sound design by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster.
