Production images have been released for Carrie Cracknell’s production of August Strindberg’s Julie. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect.

Wild and newly single, Julie throws a late night party. In the kitchen, Jean and Kristina clean up as the celebration heaves above them.
Crossing the threshold, Julie initiates a power game with Jean. It descends into a savage fight for survival.
Adapted by Polly Stenham, August Strindberg’s play is brought into the 21st century to showcase how ‘Julie’ is shocking and fiercely relevant as ever.

Directed by Carrie Cracknell (Deep Blue Sea), the cast includes: Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), Eric Kofi Abrefa (The Amen Corner) and Thalissa Teixeira (Yerma, Young Vic). Other cast members include Temitope Ajose-Cutting, El Anthony, Thomasin Gulgec, Francesca Knight, Dak Mashava, Beatriz Meireles, Michela Meazza,Ashley Morgan-Davies, Rebecca Omogbehin, Yuyu Rau and Petra Söör.

The production’s creative team includes: design by Tom Scutt, with lighting design by Guy Hoare, movement direction by Ann Yee, music by Stuart Earl and sound design by Christopher Shutt.
