NEWS: Duncan James Joins West End Production of Chicago

It has been confirmed the actor and singer will be joining the cast of the West End production of Chicago from the 10th September.

From the 10th September, Duncan James will be joining the cast to play Billy Flynn in the musical, a role he last played in 2008. He joins Alexandra Burke as Roxie Hart, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly, Mazz Murray as Mama Morton and Paul Rider as Amos Hart.

The actor and singer has most recently played Ryan in the soap opera Hollyoaks, which led him to being nominated for Most Popular Newcomer for the 2016 NTA’s. He rose to fame in the boyband Blue, which has had  40 Number One singles worldwide, three Number One UK albums and sales of over 16 million records. His stage credits include include Warner Huntington III in the West End production of Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre.

Currently booking at the Phoenix Theatre until the 5th January 2019, the multi award-winning Kander & Ebb musical returned to London following a six year absence having originally run for 15 years in the West End.

The Tony and Olivier award winning musical includes songs such as ‘Roxie’ and  ‘All That Jazz’ and is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins.
